Bang & Olufsen and the Art Plural Gallery

As I've been neglecting the blog this past week or so, I wanted to share a couple of highlights from the last two weeks.

First, I was lucky enough to score an invitation to the Singapore premiere of Bang & Olufsen's new music sound system, the BeoSound Moment, and B&O's 90th anniversary "Love Affair Collection"

The BeoSound Moment is a sleek music tablet, with one side made of oak and the other of aluminium. B&O is known for its innovative and minimalist aesthetic, and one unique aspect of the design was the touch-sensitivity feature on the oak interface.

The Love Affair Collection is a selection of six of B&O's current products in limited edition rose gold, including these gorgeous BeoPlay H6 headphones (pictured below). Full review of the night to come!

Second, with a friend visiting Singapore from overseas, a night out at a rooftop bar was calling. We opted to try The Lighthouse Restaurant & Bar (food review pending) at the iconic Fullerton Hotel. Heading up to the bar for a post-dinner drink, we were greeted with a fantastic view over Marina Bay.

The wine list, by the glass, was fairly limited, and the non-alcoholic beverage options were pretty pricey. However, the main attraction of this rooftop bar is certainly its enviable view, rather than its cocktails. On the weekday night we visited, the bar had a very relaxed and chilled atmosphere (no dance floor here), and is a great little spot for a casual catch-up.

Third, last Friday I attended a pro-bono networking event hosted by the Singapore Law Society (Project Law Help) at the contemporary art gallery, Art Plural Gallery. Attended by lawyers and those working in the non-profit sector, it was an interesting night of art and reflection.

Lastly, check out the March 2015 edition of Tiger Tales, available for browsing online, which features an article I covered on various cocktails from Hanoi, Bangkok, Yangon and Hong Kong.

Overall, an exciting fortnight and I can't wait to share more reviews and travel stories over the coming weeks!

xx Amanda
